Safety Tips

When clipping the dog any place on the body, it is important that you always keep the blade flat on the skin.

Do NOT tilt the clippers up at an angle. Doing so will force the teeth of the clipper blade to stab the dog and cause skin damage.

Never leave a dog on the table unattended. Never leave a dog unattended at
anytime! was popular during this time.

Always talk to the animal in a calm manner that will make them feel comfortable ….. even if you do not like the animal.

Dogs that are on the table for extended periods may become anxious or bored. Giving them 5-10 minute breaks often relieves the tension for both of you.

Getting rid of fleas takes more than just a dip! Here are some suggestions to offer your clients;

Clean your house thoroughly as fleas develop in dust, lint, carpets, furniture or anywhere pets have access.

Replace or use a flea collar.

Vacuum all carpets, paying particular attention to areas underneath furniture, where the pet rests, cracks and crevices along walls and base boards, all upholstered furniture and closets.

When finished, remove and seal the used vacuum bag.

Immediately and dispose of it promptly.
